The emasculation of Aristophanes' humour has, I think, been a feature of too many translations in the past. His sexuality is usually genial and inoffensive; it can be left to fend for itself. Where familiar forms of Greek words exist, I have generally used them. Line numbers refer to this English only, not to the Greek.
