The first issue of the @Leigh Fermor House series, edited by Professor Mark Mazower, is dedicated to “Walking”, the subject of a workshop organized by The Columbia Institute for Ideas and Imagination, the Stavros Niarchos Foundation Public Humanities Initiative and the Benaki Museum. At that meeting, artists, art historians, historians and writers approached the issue from different perspectives (cultural, historical, artistic, anthropological, etc.), sometimes in conjunction with Leigh Fermor's life and philosophy. The workshop was held at the Patrick & Joan Leigh Fermor House in May 2023.
